| High school student Frank Stein (Lawrence), a geeky genius, yearns for the most beautiful girl in school, Macy (Lakin), though his outsider status precludes him from having a shot at going out with her. However, when a number of popular jocks decide to harass Karl, the school`s goth outcast, they accidentally cause his death. Sensing opportunity, Frank offers to bring Karl back to life with a brain from his father`s lab. Frank is able to resurrect Karl, instantly promoting both he and Karl to popularity. Unfortunately, Frank has unwittingly replaced Karl`s brain with that of a serial killer, putting a damper on his budding relationship with Macy.
