| Another in the line of Killer Creature Double Features, this volume collects a duo of classic drive-in fair. BEAST FROM HAUNTED CAVE is cult director Monte Hellman`s (TWO-LANE BLACKTOP) directorial debut; a fun, low budget horror/crime film produced by Gene Corman (Roger`s brother). It stars Richard Sinatra (Frank`s cousin) and Michael Forest as part of a gang of robbers who successfully rob a South Dakota mining town of some gold. However, the thieves are trapped in a snowstorm during their getaway and take refuge in a cave used by a giant spider-like creature that lures its victims into the cave and slowly feeds off their blood. In BRAIN THAT WOULDN`T DIE a scientist keeps alive the decapitated head of his fiancee after she is injured in an auto accident. Slowly, she goes mad while he searches for another body. |
